Guided by sound, we deliver ocean monitoring, analysis, and predictive solutions to uncover every change beneath the sea.
Services
Professional Expertise & Operational Capability
EchoingOcean was founded by an underwater acoustics research team from the Institute of Undersea Technology at National Sun Yat-sen University. With extensive experience in underwater noise monitoring and analysis across Taiwan’s coastal and offshore waters, we provide one-stop technical services from field measurement and data processing to result validation.
Our services follow Taiwan EPA testing specifications (NIEA P210.22B) and international standards (ISO 18406 and IEC 61260), ensuring data quality that meets both domestic and international requirements. Our work is widely applied in offshore wind energy, marine environmental monitoring, and related engineering fields.
Our team combines expertise in underwater
acoustics and marine engineering, with certifications including Marine Mammal Observer (TCO) and OPITO BOSIET. Through long-term collaboration with experienced offshore TCO professionals, we are able to safely and efficiently carry out offshore operations under a wide range of sea conditions, while ensuring both data quality and ecological protection. We support clients in better understanding underwater sound fields and making more informed engineering and environmental decisions.
Core Services
Marine Environmental Monitoring & Noise Analysis
EchoingOcean does end-to-end underwater acoustic monitoring services, from field measurement and data analysis to result validation, applied across Taiwan’s coastal and offshore environments. Additionally, we give special design for offshore wind and marine engineering projects, our solutions provide clear insights into underwater noise and soundscape dynamics.Delivered by certified divers and Marine Mammal Observers (TCO), ensuring both data quality and operational safety.
Applications
-Offshore wind farms (construction & operation phases)
-Marine conservation and long-term monitoring programs
-Port and coastal environmental management
Underwater Target Monitoring & Acoustic Identification
We offer passive acoustic monitoring and identification services, analyzing underwater sounds without active transmission. This enables detection and classification of marine species, vessels, and other acoustic targets. By combining acoustic identification with data analytics, the system improves detection efficiency and accuracy across various marine applications.
Applications
-Marine mammal monitoring and ecological research
-Vessel activity monitoring and maritime safety
-Fisheries resource monitoring and illegal activity detection
Underwater Acoustic Simulation & Sound Field Prediction
We utilize numerical modeling to simulate underwater sound propagation and distribution, helping clients predict acoustic conditions before deployment and optimize system performance. These simulations support decision-making in engineering design and environmental assessments, and are widely used in project planning, environmental impact evaluation, and acoustic system development.
Technical Highlights
-Finite Element Analysis (FEA) coupled with structural-acoustic modeling
-Underwater acoustic propagation modeling, including reflection, refraction, and diffraction effects
-Signal and transmission modeling for analyzing acoustic waveforms and sound field variations
Underwater Acoustic System Design & Development
We provide customized underwater acoustic solutions based on application requirements, covering the full process from structural design and material selection to system integration. Our services are supported by Taiwan-based manufacturing (MIT supply chain), ensuring quality control from component fabrication to system-level integration. Our solutions are designed for stable operation in complex marine environments. Applications include underwater acoustic transducers and systems, underwater communication, and marine monitoring platforms.
